"The Wall (on the U.S.-Mexico border), which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built," Trump also wrote.

Good that the wall will be built, but the "new renovation of old and existing fences and walls", means that we are not currently working on new unwalled border areas.

"Wall" and "Barrier" are synonymous. Kelly uses the term barrier.

Early references to border security by the Dems held "wall" and "fence" as synonymous.

Looks like Trump is assimilating with the swamp. I hope I am wrong.

Every statement he has made since the meeting has been nothing but political speak

Trump stands a better chance of getting a fair deal from the fat guy in North Korea than he does from Chuck and Nancy.

“Trump stands a better chance of getting a fair deal from the fat guy in North Korea than he does from Chuck and Nancy”

Well. He’s getting nothing from the GOP.

Does Trump have a clue on how repulsive “Nancy and Chuck” are to his base, and how repulsive it is to hear him refer to “Nancy and Chuck”?

Trump is cucking on his signature campaign promise. Knew this would kick into high gear once the NYC contingent forced Bannon out.

Awful. Border “security” is lipstick on a pig. We’ve been here before

Well. He’s getting nothing from the GOP.

The GOP Congress sucks, but it's worth noting that they didn't work with Democrats to pass a DACA amnesty at least until Trump came along.

President Trump is negotiating not assimilating. The GOPe obviously doesn't want to work with him so, if he can get some dialogue with the dims, that may shame ryan and mcconnell into action.

It may have already worked in the case of repealing obummercare. Somehow, after 7 years of nothingness on the issue other then empty rhetoric, there appears to be a plan in the house to get a repeal going again. Even rino mccain agrees with this plan so maybe they will get their one vote more in the senate.

Ryan also just stated that the house will fund the wall.

The SCOTUS has just upheld President Trump's immigration ban that was appealed through the 9th circus.

The man is eating the elephant one bite at a time yet some freepers are bitching he isn't eating it fast enough.

Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent.

"Border security" is Demspeak for water stations. "Massive border security" is Demspeak for signs in twelve languages directing border crossers to those water stations.

Republicans are working for amnesty. It’s what keeps them winning elections. Saying they’re against it. They like to go on record as being against it but when they have the power to change it and to stop this invasion they side with the illegals. They hate when we put them in the majority or into the White House. They’re forced to show their hand

It’s the same way with abortion. They could h be ended it years ago.

“Does Trump have a clue on how repulsive “Nancy and Chuck” are to his base, and how repulsive it is to hear him refer to “Nancy and Chuck”?”

Sure. As repulsive as Tip O’Neil was during Reagan negotiations.

Bad memory, doesn’t remember Tip O’Neil and his good friend Bush1 and “no new taxes”.

He does.

His base just needs to demonstrate it by removing the GOPe leadership in the next election and stop pretending like we have no responsibility in sending him a “majority” that isn’t working with him.

The congress we sent him is OUR screw-up, and we need to clean it up.

Again, I will point out to you that from 2010(?) to 2016, the Republicans in Congress had the power to work with Obama to give us amnesty. That didn't happen.

Now we have Trump who wants amnesty, and he will most likely get it from Congress.
