Breitbart ^ | 7 Sep 2017 | Charlie Spiering

President Donald Trump signaled support for signing a permanent deal to assist DACA recipients, giving amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children.

“Chuck and Nancy would like to see something happen, and so do I,” Trump said, referring to Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

(excerpt required clip).

The president suggested that ideal legislation would include border security funds and a permanent fix for DACA .

“I’d like to see a permanent deal, and I think it’s going to happen,” he said. “I think we’re going to have great support from both sides of Congress.”

No, that's EXACTLY my theory.

(1) Republicans sit on their collective asses and let Trump's agenda wither on the vine

(2) Trump reaches out to the Marxists Dems

(3) Trump signs more spending, DACA, possible amnesty

(4) Angry base stays home in 2018, resulting in a GOP bloodbath

(5) Dems begin impeachment proceedings against Trump

(6) Dems/GOPe celebrate at cocktail parties thrown by Chamber of Commerce, CAIR, Soros

Exactly. The Rule Of Law must be applied, one way or the other. No more Cheap Labor Express gray zone that allows them to remain as cheap labor because they are afraid of being deported, or...deport them and hire Americans.

The good news is that he is ramping up the pressure on the R’s to do their frickin’ job and grow a pair. We tire of this #uniparty nonsense.

Exactly. He knows he’s not going to get money for the wall from the GOP. Maybe he’ll get it from the Dems. We shall see.

It’s like the bed wetters here never saw Charlottesville. Trump never backs down on core issues. Ever. Even when everybody else in the GOP abandons us, he’s still standing like Horatius at the bridge.

The Dems certainly do not want a wall, but they also have the ability to FLIP on a dime (think Welfare Reform under Clinton - they were dead-set against it for 2 votes, and then they all flipped on the 3rd vote, when they needed some credibility on the issue).

In this case, if the Dems are shown delivering the Wall, the Republicans in Congress will be rightfully DESTROYED in the next election. As to the Wall itself, the Dems can always use their tactic of passing it, then simply using procedures and other methods to prevent it from ever getting built.

You’re making a huge, and I think wrong, assumption that democrats want a wall.

Well we know based on the past 8 months that the GOP doesn’t want a wall.

Let’s see how they like having a CR vote every three months during primary season and their lobbyists cut out of legislative bill writing process. Maybe that will get them onside.

So Ryan wants to be totally personally humiliated at the polls and see Pelosi take his job from him.

Then he will be at the Pelosi victory party leading a toast to her victory over him?

That is some theory.

Trump hasn’t signed much because do-nothing Ryan and McConnell
have not sent him much. So Trump sent a message.
Did Ryan and McConnell have a CR that included spending cuts?
Or border wall funding?
NO! So why blame Trump for sending a message?

yes, much better that he be lead like a puppy by Mitch and Paul. This is exactly what Trump needed to do. Too bad it took so long. Dealing with the Dems has to be credible because the Repukes thinks he is boxed into whatever they want. They’ve been screwing him since he was elected and this was always going to happen. It’s much better this way, The two cucks need to know that they aren’t the only game in town. Maybe the Repukes will wake up and push for what they want now, if not then Dems it is but Trump’s agenda will be moved forward. The Repukes can decide whether or not it will be Conservative with Liberal ideas or Liberal with Conservative ideas.

So Ryan wants to be totally personally humiliated at the polls and see Pelosi take his job from him.

He funded Obama's agenda in 2014, didn't he?

You think Ryan wants to be Speaker? He and most Congressional Republicans are comfortable being in the minority. That way, they can fundraise off of conservative voters every election cycle while getting crumbs from the Democrats on things like tax credits for big business and such.

Exactly. Groups like the Sierra Club will file suit in federal court because some horn-toed frog will be endangered. Never mind the environmental destruction illegals are wreaking on the border now.

If Congress fails, they can’t blame Trump.
Yep, and it can't pass without the help of Republicans AKA RINOs exposing themselves before the next election as amnesty whores. And if it's not a clean bill (they never are) it better be veto proof.

The arrogance and ignorance of McConnell and Ryan and all the other nevertrumpers has screwed themselves out of a lifetime opportunity.

The deal on the 3-month budget was no different than what McConnell and Ryan wanted they just wanted it for longer. That was pure Politics on their part and a message from Trump. Let’s face it they haven’t delivered a damn thing.

Didn't lose me. Time will reveal things. I certainly don't expect him to be perfect.

There are many here (present company not intended) who would criticize Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, etc.

The Republicans are so pathetic they could have marginalized the Democrats out on the left and increase their holds on Congress but they are so pathetic and cowardly and deceitful they produced nothing and now they risk losing the Congress to Democrats.

Well, I agree with u on that.
The GOP has been unwilling or unable to lead.
So Trump sent a message.
A short term message.

We will see what the future holds in the coming months.
Maybe Trump will lose his base.
Or maybe the GOP will buck up and support Trumps agenda.
And on most issues Trump will keep his base.
He has done a pretty good job so far(On issues he can control with EO’s)
and Neal Gorsuch.
