Also area has a lot of truck terminals around it. There are many meth heads that hang out in those parking lots. I wouldn’t be surprised by anything that comes from an investigation of this incident.

It was clear she was trying to get onto the road and wasn’t expecting the ditch to stop her. Total “break” failures are almost impossible. My truck had a leak in the brake line and it locked down a caliper.

No way was she trying to exit from anywhere. There is no road there and if there were, it would have been blocked off by police just like those across the street.

There are cops with cones and barricades at parking lot entrances clearly visible in the video. There is a vehicle apparently stationed at the entrance to the Bass Pro Shops access road in the video as well. And the video clearly shows that the white car exits the woods between the first and second lamp posts from the Fastenal parking lot, the closest paved area on the same side of the road. The overhead view in Google Maps shows that to be the screen of trees between the pond and the road, not the Bass Pro Shops parking lot.
Unless that car is also a boat, I don’t see how it could have ended up where it did due to ‘break’ failure.
Agree this appears to be an intentional attempt.
Really poor choice of vehicles, however.
I wonder if it’s being downplayed to discourage copycat attempts.

I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

The various videos make this claim unbelievable. I suspect we taxpaying peons will never be told the truth.
