Rep. Duncan Hunter, one of Donald Trumps first allies in Congress, described the president in profane terms to a group of Republicans on Friday, but also touted the president as their champion.
Hes just like he is on TV, Hunter, R-Alpine, told the group. Hes an a--h---, but hes our a--h---.
Hunters salty assessment was recounted by four people who were present when the congressman spoke at a Riverside County Young Republicans meeting in a Murrieta sports bar. Three spoke on the record with attribution, while one source spoke on the condition of anonymity. Others who were there made posts about Hunters comments on social media as well...
Hunter was one of the first members of Congress to back Trump during his campaign for president, and said he made the endorsement without having met or spoken to the candidate first. Trump later named Hunter his envoy to Congress.

Thanks. I get them mixed up.
Both seem like good men. People you want on your side.

Hmmm. That’s what I used to accuse the left of saying about Bill Clinton. Not sure it’s a good thing.

probably spot on. Trump is an a$$hole? Not spot on. I would have preferred Trump described as Patton described Rommel, at least in the movie.
"Rommel, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!"

Hes a New Yorker. Hes an asshole. Id bet money that he would embrace the term with a smile. Its a NYC thing. As someone who was born and raised in the NYC metro area, being called an a$$hole is not a compliment or a term of endearment. Those are fighting words.

Urban dictionary definition: The worst kind of person. You cannot fully construct a meaning that fully encompasses what this vicious insult means. If you're an a**hole, you are disgusting, loathesome, vile, distasteful, wrathful, belligerent, agoraphobic, and more. A**holes are human fecal matter. They are the lowest of the low. They transcend all forms of immorality. It is the very worst of insults; to be called an a**hole is to have your very soul ripped apart and shat on. I say that the word "a**hole" is the worst cussword of the english language, worst than f**k, sh*t, and c**t. combined.

I think he’s being a fantastic asshole.
Maybe “son of a bitch” would work better, but the gist is that he is not a limp-wristed pussy like Obama, so I’m good with President Trump being an presidential asshole. We need more people like this leadership positions in government.

A**hole is the wrong noun. No adjective is going to change its meaning. I indicated in an earlier post that Patton's description of Rommel as a "magnificent bastard" was more in keeping with what I assume Hunter intended.
As a fellow NYer, I would be pissed if I were Trump. Hunter owes Trump an apology and a clarification about what he meant.

I like it. I'm pretty sure the word @sshole was originally intended for politicians.
They're all @ssholes.
