I’d like to see Elian escape Cuba and make it back to Miami.

Then maybe we could compare documentaries - the one with the truth of what happened versus the one produced by the propaganda ministry/fake news.

No, that wasn’t the uncle, it was Donato Dalrymple, the fisherman who had helped rescue the boy in the first place.

I am sure that Elian has lived a very good life in Castro’s Cuba, relative to life in Cuba. He is the masterpiece of Cuban Propaganda and is very valuable to the Castro regime. If he had been sent back there without all the public excitement it would be very different for him. He would be just a Cuban.

He’s been so thoroughly indoctrinated and brainwashed under the watchful eye of Fidel. Sadly, he’s now no different than your average College campus Stalinist Social Justice Warrior. The Clintons and Janet Reno were responsible for this atrocity, they killed the boy’s soul. The mother died for nothing trying to get her son to freedom. Horrible.

Hope the flames in hell are turned up even hotter for Janet Reno.

That heartless corrupt bitch. Killing 78 Americans in Waco was not enough.

And Clinton held a presser the following morning after Elian was forcibly removed. When he walked away, he had the biggest smirk on his face==like he had pulled off another one.

Bastid.

Re #10. If the president at the time had been a Republican, that photo would be the defining moment of his/her presidency.

Some freepers supported the kidnapping? Cause of “father’s rights” myopia? Idiots, no one in Cuba has rights.

As my FR page states under the picture I still have there

“Thug with a badge kidnaps a boy in the name of Marxism on orders from his lesbian mistress. This happened in America.
A lesbian socialist was in charge of men with guns and had an ugly goon with no genitalia or brain cells kidnap a boy and give him to Fidel Castro, seriously. That’s pretty effed up right?

Those swine who did the deed should all be doxxed and shunned like the gestapo they are.

Yup, the father’s rights was the line they always used. No matter how many times you explained to them that the father had Castro’s goons on him the entire time when he would be filmed by the complicit Stalinist American media, that they threatened both him and his grandparents in Cuba if they didn’t repeat the regurgitated talking points on returning the kid, or the single greatest key point: there is no “parental rights” in Cuba, as all children are designated property of the state under the Cuban Constitution, and the state was Fidel, they still refused to acknowledge reality.

Some idiot Congressmen like the one who ran for Governor of Oklahoma, Steve Largent, supported the Nazi stormtrooper kidnapping and forcible return to Cuba of the boy. I refused to endorse him when he did so. If he couldn’t see the inherent evil in this action (not to mention that Clintoon/Reno DEFIED a court that was in the process of hearing the boy’s pleas on behalf of his family here before the judge ruled on his status), he did not deserve to be in any position of authority. Thankfully he lost.

I never watch CNN;it’s not on my channel programming. Every day I see more & more reasons to not add it to the lineup.

Largent? Really? How unfortunate.

The “winner”, Brad Henry, sheltered those Rat State Reps from Texas who fled the state to avoid the dismantling of their congressional gerrymander. Phuqqing terrorists.

What’s the deal with Gary Richardson, the R turned I whom helped elected Henry by measly plurality? Wikipedia says he’s returned (never truly left?) to the GOP and is running for Governor again next year, sounds like a good platform, anti-tax, outgoing Governor Failin not doing well on that front.

I know, but was trying to look on the bright side of it all, with hoping the liars would get their long overdue comeuppance, while hoisted on their love-of-all-things-dictator petards.

I do have to agree with you. I’ve heard Elian speak, proclaiming allegiance to Cuba and all that.

Although, after being terrorized at the hands of the clinton/reno regime, even with the threats to himself and his family .. maybe Cuba has seemed safe in comparison.

Not that I wanted Henry elected, but Largent simply was unacceptable. Sadly, he was coronated in the primary, he had no viable opponent. I can’t recall the reason why Richardson ran as an Independent. He’ll be 78 in 2019 at the start of his term, so I’m thinking that’s going to be a big mark against him (and being accused of helping Henry in 2002).

IIRC Elian’s grandparents were imprisoned by Castro once it became known of his escape. Dad was forced to cooperate.
Prior to the escape the father called his family in Florida and let them know what was planned.

A nun involved in the case at first was for Elian’s return then flip-flopped.

I remember reading that Elian wasn’t returned to his father but to a communist work farm/school.

We know they would try. I’m afraid poor Elian never stood a chance after his mother died trying to save them both.

After Trump pardoned Arpaio, CNN said he was trying to deflect attention from their hurricane coverage (which they can't do while complaining about Trump). MSDNC also claimed that since he called them "fake news" viewers wouldn't believe their warnings about Harvey.

If they would just do their jobs honestly they would not have to blame Trump.
