One of my best friend’s father, while still in uniform and serving overseas was charged for a cup of coffee by the Red Cross f*** them f****** organization never liked them glad they’re leaving Mar-A-Lago
yes, my husband and I are on a “do not accept blood donations” list b/c we lived in Niger in the 1980’s. if we were a queer couple, they would welcome us with open arms.
My father, a WWII vet, despised the Red Cross. I too have never had any use for them. This just solidifies my feelings.
So these orgs, Red Cross, Cancer fundraising et al are more interested in making political statements then raising money for their charities. Shame on them.
I remember when Red Cross was begging for money in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
They took in millions and millions.
But the didn't spend that much on Katrina recovery, but kept millions for future problems.
A very deceptive practice which soured me on the Red Cross. I always suggest that people give to orgs that are closely connected to those that are in need.
Guys, I just saw a WaPo article stating that the Salvation Army has pulled out, too.
No longer will my money be wasted on the Red Cross, now that it has become a political organization they need to lose their “non-profit” status! Bye Bye to the Red Cross!

That’s the one. WTH is with the SA?!
They game big events like 09/11 to get massive donations. Then they pay out very very slowly. I’m not convinced those funds ever go to the event they were solicited for.
I don’t trust them at all.
The Salvation Army is a very respectable organization.
As you intimated, Red Cross salaries are downright obscene.
Looks like the SA just pulled out, too....
Also the Red Cross’s association with the Red Crescent with their anti-Isreali positions is cause for concern.
A very political and disgraceful operation.
The ‘Red Cross’ charged our military 10cents for a cup of coffee at ‘Red Cross tent’ in Viet Nam.
The Salvation Army did not charge for a cup of coffee at the ‘Salvation Army tent.
Have always donated to the ‘Salvation Army’.
This happened to my father. He always said F. the Red Cross. This from a man,who never cursed.
Bkmk
I've never donated to the Red Cross because of the slimes that have run it throughout its history....and I intend to double down on what I just said, LOL.
Leni
They loudly and proudly tout their basic operating principles as that of absolute unequivocal NEUTRALITY. Yeah right.
Updated list. SA is on it. So’s the Cleveland Clinic.
