After being held at Mar-a-Lago for 60 years, and Donald J. Trump being gracious to in hosting them for the better part of those years the Red Cross has decided to move this year's ball to another venue.
My wife and I (who have met the president there) got the email a little while ago, which read in part:
We originally decided to keep the International Ball at Mar-a-Lago because it was the lower-cost venue in the area, and because we have held numerous successful fundraisers there over the past 60 years. However, our decision to hold the event at Mar-a-Lago has increasingly become a point of public controversy and a source of pain for many members of our Red Cross community. As such, we have decided to cancel the event next year at Mar-a-Lago
By the way, not only has Trump belonged to the Red Cross and hosted them all these years, but the President of the United States is the HONORARY CHAIRMAN of the organization.
What a disgrace!

The Red Cross is corrupt and ineffective. They have screwed up instead of helping every where they “respond” to a disaster. The latest example was NJ where they rolled up, raised money and then didnt distribut or help anyone and that is not an isolated event.

I hope you never gave a dime to the American Red Cross in the first place. They are as crooked as they come. Did you know that during World War II the tobacco companies gave free cigarettes to the American Red Cross to be given to the troops for free. American Red Cross sold the cigarettes to the GI’s instead of giving them out for free. American Red Cross pulled a lot of crooked stuff in my home area after a fire. Local donations intended for the fire victims was spent on expensive office furniture and a new phone system at their offices.
I stopped giving to the Red Cross years ago and will double down now on not giving to the Red Cross.....
Maybe the Red Cross should merge with the Clinton Foundation. It’s a perfect match made in heaven, or elsewhere.

Red Cross has been evil since 9/11. The prez of Red Cross gets 500k a year. Where did those donations go towards 9/11 victims? O’Reilly was all over that.
