Destruction of Trump’s base is all but impossible. His base will find a way to rationalize this and anything he does.

-- Only possible upside is Bannon can now do more damage to the Left from the outside. --

That a helluva upside. He might be able to to more to advance Trump's agenda from the outside, too.

How much of a non-Democrat was he? He admitted he was going to piss of conservatives by pushing a budget that would make Obama look fiscally responsible.

It came straight from Buzzfeed. And Buzzfeed feeds CNN all their news.

So it must be accurate, right?

Agreed. That weird reckless interview did him in. He did fine when he kept his mouth shut, but he couldn’t resist bragging.

I’m not “out”, but very disappointed.

Bannon was the key person pushing a nationalistic economic policy. Such a policy is key to Trump winning re-election via the industrial states.

Trump has backed down on putting a tariff on Chinese goods by labeling them a currency manipulator. With Cohn still in the administration, it isn’t looking good.

Bannon was the last one pushing the agenda.

Trump is finished. He’s surrounded by Dems and Rinos

This is a post I wrote in another thread but needs repeating, though I have edited it to add more material:

I’ve been telling people that Bannon is a fraud for a number of months now. There are many good reasons to believe this, but people have their tribal affiliations and do not so easily break free of them.

Bannon brought this on himself by spreading the disinformation that McMaster had given Susan Rice security clearance, even though all he gave her was access to her own work product as was necessary, especially if she was going to soon be testifying.

Stone’s criticism of Bannon here is completely accurate and should not be a surprise to anyone who remembers Bannon’s less than honest hijinks during the nomination process.

Sadly, Bannon, like most professional conservative pundits, was only interested in one thing: self-aggrandizement and money. Because conservatives have so few media outlets of our own, tooting your own horn and creating your own founding myth is pretty easy, especially since few are paying enough attention to point out the truth.

The honest among us are far and few and conservatives need to recognize this.

Take the medicine folks. It tastes bad but we need it.

All the lies about Bannon being the “Trump campaign,” making all the decisions, making all the plans, were lies straight from Bannon and the MSM intent on painting Trump as a soulless goon with no positions of his own.

No comparison really. Trump is operating as a CEO, he is used to firing and replacing people. Politicians just keep the same people on most of the time.

In parliamentary forms there is always a shaking up of the cabinet or personnel. Don't read too much in Bannon no longer having a official position. He will still be around.

And I can’t think of anything more surely guaranteed to alienate his base than dumping Bannon.

LOL. Bannon isn’t the one taking nukes on daily basis. He sure didn’t make Trump. And his leaving won’t break Trump either.
