Homeland Security Committee to Hold Hearing on 'Dangers Posed by Domestic Terrorists'

Rep. Michael McCaul, the Texas Republican who chairs the House Homeland Security Committee, has scheduled a Sept. 12 hearing to discuss “the dangers posed by domestic terrorists and other extremist groups.”

“On September 12^th, we will hold a full committee hearing and have invited the leaders of the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the National Counterterrorism Center to discuss the most serious threats America faces,” McCaul wrote in an Aug. 16 letter to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.).

“I strongly encourage members of both parties to engage the witnesses on the dangers posed by domestic terrorists and other extremist groups. Racial intolerance deserves no place in America and it is imperative that we find ways to rid our nation of the scourge of white supremacism.”

Thompson, the ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee, requested the hearing following the weekend protests and violence in Charlottesville. …

I had not heard anything about white supremacists or neo Nazis in many many years, until this weekend. Now all of a sudden, they are the major topic in the news. Now all of a sudden, there’s a rush to remove historic monuments so as not to honor slaveholders and all this crazy stuff going on. Now all of a sudden, we don’t care about the alleged Russian interference in our elections, we don’t care about North Korea, now all we care about is the alleged scourge of white racism???? How the heck does the media decide which stories to push at any given time???

And it was all instigated by the counter protesters who showed up at Charlottesville. Maybe someday we will learn that the whole damn thing was staged and created by the radical types, to try to trigger a reaction such as the car crash which killed a woman, which could then be blamed on the “white supremacists”.

I never heard the term “White Nationalists” until this event happened. Now that term is all over the news. Is that a newly created term, such as how the media created the term “White Hispanic” to describe George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case???
