True...Bronx and Yonkers are from Dutch settlers...(both were from Dutch family, but they got Americanized). Dutch settled in Hartford, too...

Oh yes...the Bronks had a large farm and friends & family would say: "LETS GO TO THE BRONKS", which then somehow became The Bronx; eventually.

And the Jonker family had a large place that has become Yonkers.

And then there is Flushing, which is named for a place in Holland.
