There's actually no such a thing as a last name "sounding Afrikaner"! I know a lot of Afrikaner last names and many of them are Dutchified ( the spelling ) of French last names. It's a very mixed bag, in RSA; just as it is here, when it comes to last names. And yes, I am talking about family names of those, in RSA, who have been there from the time the very first boast from Holland got there.
