If the seat becomes vacant then maybe Moore can run for it.
I live in Alabama and we are inundated daily with anti Mo Brooks ads. Each one features three or four Mo quotes where he is trashing then candidate Donald Trump. Brooks states Trump can’t be trusted, calls him a serial adulterer, and iirc, he wouldn’t actually say he’d vote for Trump when he won the nomination. Frankly with all the fake news out there, I don’t know who to believe.
I’m looking at Mo Brooks Bio. There is nothing about winning a statewide
election.
Running for the House is not a statewide election.
It is a narrow district election.
If Mo Brooks is so poplar, why is he running a distant 3rd
in at least two polls?
My guess is that the Chickens are coming home to roost
for Brooks trashing Trump in the primaries.
And his tepid support of Trump in the general.
In addition, I could certainly support Moore for a congress seat
if one becomes available. I don’t think Moore would vote for Ryan
as Speaker, as Brooks has done over and over again.
And I never said he did. And if you look at his bio there is nothing in there about running in a statewide election before either. So he is in exactly the same position that Moore was in the first time Moore ran in a statewide race.
But while we're at it, how many statewide elections has Brooks lost?
If Mo Brooks is so poplar, why is he running a distant 3rd in at least two polls?
After what happened in November you're trusting media polls? Really?

We will see. But if support for Trump is so important then Strange has supported the President all along. So much so that the President has endorsed him. Shouldn't you be supporting President Trump as well?
I am certainly disappointed in Trumps endorsement of Strange,
as are many others. Moore or Brooks are the better choices.
Moore is the best choice.
However, Moore is taking it in stride, basically saying that Trump
is not running for the Senate in Alabama and that voters will
decide.
Brooks, on the other hand is begging Trump to re-consider his
endorsement. A sign of desperation.

So, you have one candidate that takes it in stride
and one candidate that is whining like a baby.
I hope Brooks continues to serve in the House, but re-considers
his strong support for Ryan as Speaker.
We are in 6D range here, man.
At the end of the day, the most important thing for Trump is endorsing the candidate that wins.
Trump does not back losers. And his endorsement creates winners.
If he endorses a bunch of candidates that can’t get out of the primary, what does that do for his image as leader of this uprising?
In other words, I think he’s seen the polls and knows what’s going to happen here.
“Trump does not back losers. And his endorsement creates winners.

What you say makes good sense.
Very few. Mo Brooks seems to be among that few.
That’s not 3D, that’s a very obvious move. Actually Mo has been so open about his disgust with McConnell it’s best for him to wait. If he got into the senate there is no way he would get a seat on a decent committee. Mitch would push him aside. Time is the only thing that will make it go away
