Two of the senators who singlehandedly derailed the skinny repeal of Obamacare were awarded a sit down interview with the admiring Dana Bash Friday on CNN. The bright faced journalist applauded Sens. Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK) for having the cajones to vote against the Republican bill when they knew half the country would view them as heretics.
Collins admitted it was an uncomfortable vote. But, they both insisted it was the right thing to do, which is why they did not fear backlash from GOP leadership, or even intimidating tweets from the Oval Office.
Both women said they were voting for their constituents, not the Republican Party...
Part of standing up for their states, the senators argued, was protecting Planned Parenthood funding...

Disgusting dusty wombs
Demonic.
You are absolutely correct....the right thing to do would be to have that seat go to the dems....at least you would know what you got!!!
Romans 1:28
She votes with us...occasionally...although unlike some others she does not pretend to be a conservative and is up front that she is not.
These two are probably trying to build a separate flank with the leftist media because they did not expect this to happen and thought they would have cover for their own votes - McCain voting against it was not expected.
Actually she was able to still run as a Republican and as a write-in...she never ran as an independent.
That’s why she doesn’t care. She was able to win without even having her name printed on the ballot and with her own party against her. A primary challenge threat will not phase her...best to save the energy for another target.
WRONG: They voted no in order to protect their under-the-table payoff. These 2 skanks should be in jail.
If it weren’t for women in the Senate like Joni Ernst, and doubtless numerous women in the House, who voted for repeal, I would never vote for a woman candidate again.
My point entirely.
Killing baines is more important than saving adults, so salvaging American Health care goes out the window.
Just. Plain. Evil.
Alaska voters should repeal and replace Murkowski and her baby killing agenda
Murkowski made additional enemies with her latest moves. A primary challenge has a better chance. She won’t be popular enough to win as an independent.
That would be the only reason to not attack Collins.
Two old skanks who have kids and can’t have anymore due to age. Yet, killing babies is fine by them.
Wow, long about time for them to declare as Democrats.
1) Hold our position and make repeal dependent on defunding PP?
2) Strip out PP and put under its own bill and pass repeal without it?
That is a jump in logic. That is the excuse THEY used. All a yes vote would do is get it to conference with the House. What is so bad about that? Reconciling details would be worked out later and they would have had a chance to influence the bill, and vote against it again if it reached the floor of the Senate again. I think Murkowski and Collins are despicable like Democrats because they make up some lame excuse to vote against the bill because they are leftists who actually want government run healthcare.
But they certainly have fundamental moral shortcomings, in my mind, if they even use Planned Parenthood for an excuse. That is my real point. Planned Parenthood is nothing but a baby murdering machine.
So many in Maine want to take her out.
Pastor Bob sent this out this morning.
What happens to Susan Collins when it is proved that she is transporting illegal drugs to Maine for use and sale by abortionist?
What happens to Susan Collins when she is found transporting illegal drugs to Maine for use and sale by abortionist?
And for those wondering, NO she will not be framed, there is no reason to.
The answer is simple, thank God for Governor LePages courage.
