Director of insurance says to stabilize the market and reduce rates, Congress should repeal and replace Obamacare!
Health care insurers in Idaho have requested premium rate hikes as high as 81 percent for next year, according to the state's Department of Insurance.
The five insurers serving the individual market in Idaho are Blue Cross of Idaho Health Service, Mountain Health Co-Op, PacificSource Health Plans, Regence BlueShield of Idaho, and SelectHealth.
For all plans, insurers requested rates ranging from a low of 25 percent to a high of 51 percent for a combined average statewide rate increase of 38 percent. For Obamacare's popular Silver plan, the average rate increase among all insurers was even higher at 50 percent, with one insurer requesting a high of 81 percent.
"I am deeply disappointed and frustrated to share these rates," said Dean Cameron, who directs the department. "I understand how difficult it will be for Idahoans to afford reasonable coverage, especially those without a subsidy."

Let the ‘RATS own their creation. And let the death spiral continue & accelerate... as it will. Hell will be paid by the ‘RATS in the 2018 election. Then we can have it repealed and replaced.

McStain’s legacy: Premium healthcare for me, but NOT for thee.
You little people and deplorables are so demanding. Don’t you know that your health insurance premiums are solely to pay for the needs of the welfare recipients, illegals, and government employees?
What? Did you think that money that you “earned” actually belongs to you?
You serfs, peasants, employees, whatever always get things confused, especially when it comes to who actually rules over you.
Now remember that the democratic progressive leaders really don’t like it when you question their supreme authority and meritocracy approved progressive decisions.
(Do I really need the /s?)

Obama: And you could keep your doctor too
Obama was pretty much correct too, provided you had money to pay the doctor after paying the high Obamacare premiums.
With a typical Obamacare deductible of $5,000, the chance of an Obamacare plan paying any doctor was slim unless you needed surgery in a hospital in any given policy year.
With astronomical Obamacare-level deductibles, you rarely would benefit financially by seeing a doctor other than your own.
As for your insurance plan keeping your doctor, Obama made no similar promise.
GOP: just let O’care sink under it’s own weight.
For what legitimate reason? How could costs have possibly gone up this much in one year?
Because only sick people get on Obamacare. So premiums keep skyrocketing, like the electric costs Biden told us had to necessarily rise. They either knew it would also happen with health insurance premiums were they were fools. The younger healthier people don’t want to pay these out rages premiums just to subsidize the rest. The younger generation is now getting a clue as to why socialism isn’t much fun when you’re the one paying the bill.
There is nothing but obama care left to us who are self-employed and we are not all sick.
Yeah, you’re right. I spoke in too much of a generality. I had it myself for a year and a half before hubby found a job with insurance. While we were both self-employed.
What I meant was, what I have read is that the vast majority of those on Obamacare are either getting subsidies or are older and are sick. Many younger healthier people are choosing to pay the penalty and be uninsured.
It’s pretty much on sustainable. The premiums just keep getting higher and higher for those that are paying them.
