JULY 31, 2017 Washington, DC (ABC/WBEN) Anthony Scaramucci resigns as White House Communications Director.
This comes the same day John Kelly was sworn in as Chief of Staff. Sources tell ABC Scaramucci resigned, asking to be redeployed at the Export Import Bank as chief strategy officer.
Scaramucci had not been on the job less than a week. It may be most memorable for an expletive-laden conversation with a New Yorker reporter that disparaged other members of the Trump team.
I am sure the Deep State is happy today. They were upset with Scaramucci firing Priebus.
I have a bad feeling General Kelly is using the “let’s be nice to the media and they will love us” strategy.
In other words General Kelly is using the old tactics that failed the Republican party over and over again in the past.
Sorry Freepers but this sends the wrong message to President Trump supporters in the White House. Mooch barely got started and he is already gone.
Fair enough, but let’s also remember the situation President Trump has inherited. A complete outsider walking into a true cluster unlike any in American history, left at his feet by his predecessor.
To add onto all this, you’ve got the constant media onslaughts from the GOP, media and apparently, within his own administration, as he tries to find his footing and lead the country.
Some bumps in the road should be expected, especially in the first year. I think Trump is doing what a great leader was - which is evaluating himself and those around him. Learning from his mistakes and the mistakes of those around him, and finally assembling the team he wants to lead America going forward.
Let’s pray for him and the country that it works out. I think it will.
You obviously are either just another intellectually dishonest anti-Trump hack, or else have not even a grain of understanding about “the swamp,” and how much the establishment despise Trump - or how determined they are to oppose his agenda.
Making deals? Sure - but that requires bargaining in good faith by all parties involved.

I don’t think Trump likes anyone associsted with him being ridiculed or but or jokes for one thing i.e. mooch and spicer. I also think mooch did the dirty work on spicer and reince but hit a wall when he attacked Bannon. Bannon definately turned around Trumps campaign with Kellys Anne and no one can take that from them. I think we found out Bannon is protected by Trump more than others suspected. Good for Trump listening to Kelly and getting a pro America law and order guy in there.

My SO just informed me that Kelly said that AS needed to be gone by Friday, but Trump said it could happen sooner than that.
A General is supposed to be an officer and a gentleman. As Commander in Chief, Trump should be an officer and a gentleman. Someone accusing someone of being a paranoid schizophrenic is certainly neither. Kelly had no intentions of putting up with that, not to mention AS’s brag that he had direct access to President.

I think the answer is quite uncomplicated. The President has the proclivity to embrace people who appear to possess the qualities he believes will advance his agenda, and to overlook their weaknesses. Sooner or later their behavior reveals those weaknesses, and then the President dismisses them. I can understand why that makes many of his supporters uncomfortable, but I’m not one of them. What bothers me is his hesitancy to rebuke the backstabbers and traitors in his own Party.

I agree with your views regarding this issue, but it does frustrate me that in some instances our President gives the failures MORE than a second before he shows them the exit door.

Precisely so. The President can hire and fire as much as he pleases and it doesn’t bother me at all. I have complete faith that he knows what he’s doing, and that he’s doing a fantastic job despite the do-nothing Congress and the entrenched opposition throughout the Executive agencies and the courts.

That's a total exaggeration. Sometimes these things happen in bursts. Scaramucci f----d up, and was quickly removed by Trump and his new CoS. That's leadership, and the decision didn't need to be delayed in the name of avoiding the charge of "constantly changing personnel".
And Rience Priebus was a failed experiment ultimately, although he had some positive aspects.
There's no need to exaggerate, and thereby lend credence to a distorted Media narrative.
This President is doing fine, and will continue to do fine, and he's not going to stick with people who aren't working out.
Given the fact that 90% of his pool of potential employees are necessarily DC Swamp creatures—not to mention almost the entire GOP legislature—and the ones he's not hiring are working against him from the Deep State, etc.
Look what this man is up against: almost everybody in the entire federal government, including nearly the entire federal Legislature and Judiciary and Deep State—just like in the campaign. It's a miracle that Donald Trump ran, a miracle that he caught on, and a bona fide miracle that he won against the anointed Dark Queen of the Democrats and Media (but I repeat myself).
I'm not sure what you can reasonably expect to happen, given the prevailing conditions, and acknowledging this this is an imperfect human being. This "churn" will ultimately have a positive effect, and there's absolutely no point in amplifying the Media's false narratives one decibel.
Lukewarm support for President Trump won't cut it in Washington, and neither will it cut it among his supporters. We simply have to tolerate this man's flaws without dwelling on them, wringing hands about them, or waxing hysterical about them.
There's enough negativity for a hundred opposition parties—and it's coming from every direction. What this President needs from his supporters is loyalty, faith, and trust—things he has been earning every second over the last 2 years.
With the "negative spin of the day" always being breathlessly reported and repeated, it's easy to forget just what this man has been through, and what he has accomplished. And what this man has accomplished, he has done with amazing political skill, instinct, candor, and sheer force of will.
I just have to reject the negativism—and any and all criticism needs to be painstakingly presented in a constructive manner. Anything else effectively aids and abets the Enemy. Like I said, there's enough "nattering nabobs of negativism" to destroy 100 Presidents, and that means his supporters need to err on the side of giving President Trump the benefit of the doubt—not just when we're in a good mood, not just when it suits us, and not just when we agree with him.
We, his supporters, need to be "the faithful"—through thick and thin—in order to compensate for the overwhelming unfairness, hatred, and long odds which this man is facing.
Anything less than that, and this Revolution will fail.
This man has made mistakes, and will continue to make them. General Washington made many during his Revolution. And he had his detractors, and he had those who undermined him—selfishly. But with the sheer force of his will, his character, his personality, and his passion, he held the movement together—sometimes almost single-handedly.
This President is in the most unlikely, impossible position that any American President has ever been in—and that includes Lincoln, Roosevelt, and anyone else you can name.
I want Trump to succeed. And I want him to establish an atmosphere of leadership excellence as a model for other presidents to follow. I hope he delivers on that.
You're going to have to do more than hope. You're going to have to believe. If you don't, then you might as well give up on him right now. Mere hope is insufficient. Faith is imperative—deep, abiding faith.
God put this man in this position to serve as President at this moment in history. Are you going to second-guess God? Do you have any doubt that Donald Trump would be the President of the United States without the active hand of Providence?
Think, man! This administration is unlike anything within our ken. God has chosen this man to serve as his vessel at this moment in history. God has historically used profoundly flawed vessels (e.g. King David) as formidable instruments of His Divine Will. Nobody should be gratuitously tearing this man down. Once again, we have the Enemy for that. It is our lot to put our Faith in this man. At least it is my lot, and I pity the person who flippantly substitutes their own judgement for that of God.
Second-guessing this administration over issues of relative minutiae—such as some employment churn, and an extra firing due to one individual's yuge mistake (Scaramucci's) is simply not the right perspective—no matter how substantial the misstep it might be.
Don't just have hope. I implore every Trump supporter reading this—and every #NeverTrumper still trying to tear him down—have the faith of a mustard seed, and we—through this good (and great) man who is now our President—will move mountains. Glory Hallelujah and Amen!
