Went to Banff a few years ago, it was great.
It’s beautiful there. I’m closer to Jasper, but about another 3.5 hours north. I live in Grande Prairie. It’s natural gas country here, with some oil.
The winters are a bit long sometimes and the summers are hot, but it’s home.
However, given the current political situation and the steep downward spiral of this country, I may look to Texas.
I went to the US prior to last Christmas and caused much destruction among liberals in Nashville, but I wouldn’t want to move there. I think I’d be more at home with the hard right wingers heh.
