The once-greatest health care system in the world is decaying and crumbling at an alarming pace, and he votes against something that might have been a step towards reversing that just because he can.

Here’s a nasty thought - I think Arizona’s law requires a Senator’s replacement must be from the same political party as the original Senator who (died, resigned, became incapacitated, ...).
McCain is just vicious enough to switch to Democrat BEFORE he dies.
If these guys actually had some alternative plan, to the one voted on, that’s one thing. But they have no plan. They just want to watch it all burn and bring on Single-Payer.

You first two paragraphs make sense to me. I don’t disagree with that at all.
