McCain, Collins, and Murkowski voted No.
Republicans spent 7 years promising this, and they couldn't get it done.
The Republicans don't like Trump all that much, but he is willing to fulfill their promise that they made. Meanwhile, McCain, the GOP hero, helped kill their promise.
Will the mandates for example be stopped by executive actions?
Good question. I’m pretty sure the present can direct the IRS to not collect the individual mandate. Some of the other taxes and the employer mandate, I’m not sure of.

Good point. During any shutdown he should make it as uncomfortable for Congress as possible. Rather than pulling funding from the park services like Obama did, pull funding from anything related to the perks Congress has given themselves over the years.
McCain would vote against such an order.
McCain gets his life temporarily saved by the gold plated health insurance the swamp creatures all gave themselves. He comes back to the senate just in time to deny Americans any hope for any affordable health care at all. In honor of McCain, I refuse to file any taxes with these swamp creatures until McCain is officially declared dead.
I also think that Murkowski stole it from Joe Miller, as well. McCain had one more act of treason in him that had to come out.
It's no vice to speak ill of a terminal ***hole. I remember a line from John Calvin, one of the great theologians of history, speaking of a more ancient terminal **hole who had passed away. He begins the paragraph by stating that he will hold back his criticisms, "for it is not good to speak ill of dead dogs." Then the rest of the letter was spent in ridiculing him.

How come the Dems never seem to have this problem of hanging together, like when they voted to cram Obamacare down the nation’s throat, but Republicans can never work together to accomplish things like its repeal?

Yes, first of all she shouldn’t have been allowed to run as a write in after losing the primary but sadly AK has no sore loser law.
But more importantly, they counted misspellings of her name, which is BS. Leesa Merkowsky was not a candidate and votes for her shouldn’t have counted towards Lisa Murkowski’s total.

A mild case of the disease of my fellow Virginians. We were invaded but that's no excuse. We don't know how to keep a Republic. It's much easier just vote for a little government this and a big government that, just like the TV tells us to do.
