Skinny Repeal Failed
July 28, 2017 | Pinkbell

Sorry if there is a thread; I didn't see it.

McCain, Collins, and Murkowski voted No.

Republicans spent 7 years promising this, and they couldn't get it done.

The Republicans don't like Trump all that much, but he is willing to fulfill their promise that they made. Meanwhile, McCain, the GOP hero, helped kill their promise.

McCain literally has a defect in his brain. Why is he allowed to vote anymore?

McCain is not, never was and never will be a hero to me. He probably is terminal, so I’m reluctant to go full bore in speaking ill of him, but I have despised that man since at least the early 1990’s when he revealed himself to be a horrible warmonger during the Bosnia conflict. I have no doubt he voted this way deliberately to harm President Trump. Beyond that, it’s best I say no more.

It was the whole damn Senate not just three. Same games, use members from heavily Dem neighborhoods or other safe seat.

And in this case dead-man-walking McCain who can’t be criticized no matter how he screws the people because he’s sick and odds are he won’t be around long enough to pay at the ballot box.

But it was all of them, every time, they conspire against we the people, pick out who will take the hit, then wait out voters until the four or six years pass, people forget, and that member miraculously gets re-elected.

So sick of this mess.

Filthy evil McCain came back just to save Obamacare, which he claims to oppose. What a rotten creature.

Time to lift the Congressional exemption on Obamacare. I don’t know what else Trump has in his arsenal, but he’d better start unleashing it now.

This vote failed 49-51
If he stayed in Arizona the vote would have failed 49-50.

If any one of the no votes would have votes yes, then it would have been a tie, 50-50 and the VP would have broken the tie.

What a bunch of ineffective "leaders" of this great nation. Now they get to go home?

Yep. The guy can’t get over the fact that he lost and DJT won.

It is not just those three, it’s the whole Senate. If Republicans wanted this to pass, it would have. They pick no’s from heavily Dem areas or dying McCain who won’t live to get his pay back but it’s all of them.

And I really don’t think they care if it cost them the majority. Their benefits don’t change if they lose the upper hand, they still get paid.
