Funny thing is, some folks actually believed that in the late 1940s ... It's the Atomic Age, now, and in the Atomic Age crisp clean bomber pilots will incinerate their enemies like civilized gentlemen ... we need no longer worry about men fighting and killing and dying in the mud like barbarians.
