No it isn’t. It used to be back when it mostly covered South Central and Watts, but those days are long gone. The current district runs from the airport east to about Watts, then south into Gardena, Lawndale, and part of the Harbor Gateway corridor. The area’s demographics have also changed from heavy black population in the original core of the district to heavy Hispanic (mostly illegals).
