Transgender worshippers could be given church services to celebrate their new identity, after the Church of England synod signaled their support for the move.

The Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu was among senior figures who implored members of the Church's governing body to vote for a motion asking bishops to consider new liturgy specially designed to welcome a transgender person under their new name.

The Revd Chris Newlands, vicar of Lancaster, who proposed it, said the motion was "a wonderful opportunity to create a liturgy which speaks powerfully to the particularities of trans people, and make a significant contribution to their well-being and support".

Sex change (so called) to be explicitly declared a sacrament, if this goes through.

Of course it will.

It’s not “sex change”, it’s genital mutilation.
They’re still the same sex, just dysfunctional.

Historically, gotta hand it to them, the Anglican Church has been so good at ritualism. Wonderful brocade and lace — transwomen and drag queens will love it. And the music will be great, too. Better than at my little ol’ Tennessee (Cath.) parish, that’s for sure.

What else would you expect from a church founded by the king of England?

Remember the old days when people went to church to celebrate and honor God, rather than have their own sins celebrated and honored?

Somewhere I once read, with the exact title escaping me, sounding similar to “Letters from a Guy named Paul”, where this guy Paul wrote something like:
“Ye once WERE ...”, and he gave a whole bunch of titles that I don’t remember.

It seems that with the lack of churches being burned down, queers being run out of town - tarred and feathered- on a rail, and such, a whole lot of folks that scream their ‘christian’, when talking some idjit jihadist, but ain’t saying one darn thing with the queers taking over their churches.

so’s i guess they really don’t care about the idjit jihadists, neither.

But the idjit jihadists are saying, and do care, and don’t mind getting these same ‘christians’ outy of the way, for their doings.

Do they?

Note: it is called the Church of England. It is not a Christian church. It is in the service of the state.

Wonder how the Scripture where it says that God created them male and female is applied in that “church”.

>>> It is in the service of the state.

As are most mainline “churches”.

They will be celebrated and thou shalt clap until instructed to stop. If thou stoppest prematurely thou shalt be branded with the Rainbow T and excommunicated.

“The seven “sacraments” of their secular culture are abortion, buggery, contraception, divorce, euthanasia, feminism of the radical type, and genetic experimentation and mutilation. These things they unabashedly espouse, profess and promote.”

Celebrating sin. How long until they cease being a church?

In God’s eyes, they are not a church. Jesus says, “IF YOU CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then you are my followers indeed. And you will know the truth and the truth will make you free.” Nowhere in God’s Word do you find nonsense such as blessing sexual deviancy or homosexual fake marriage.

I love the way our Pastor explained it: If you are a Christian, your IDENTITY is in CHRIST. He must be the driving force in your life- not your race, your sexuality, your job, your family, your ethnicity, or your politics. If the Bible and your lifestyle conflict, your lifestyle must give way to God’s word. We are not saved by works, only God’ grace saves, but a saved Christian strives to obey his Lord.

Terry, I believe the scripture you’re talking about is 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11. You can find it here.

Dear keats5,

re: “Terry, I believe the scripture you’re talking about is 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11. “

I was not interested in having it read back to ME.
I was interested, as to how soon the rest of y’all would read it, and kick the queersand’em out of your churches, remove those ‘leaders’, and purify the ground those buildings are upon, by fire, thereby removing the stench from this nation.

Call me old-fashioned, but i’ve held this for over 47 years.
