49% vote for a man living actively in Sin. What does that say about our culture?
And the guy didn’t even live in the district he was running in. Good Grief
It says that we are less accepting than, say, France.
1) The fiancee is female.
2) He isn’t married—this isn’t a mistress.
In France... no problem... at least for #2.
We have a president on his third wife and whose actions during and between earlier marriages were not anything to write home about. And people are supposed to hold it against Ossoff?
Seriously? This gets my nomination for the dumbest vanity every posted.
What it says about our culture is cohabitation is common and nobody cares.
Whaddyathink voting for these gay deviants adds up to?
So you have no problem with it??
It sometimes leads to Death!
Exactly. I think people in general are a lot more realistic about these matters than they used to be. It’s harder to believe that any large sector of society exists where these issues never happen.
Is this 1817?
Members of Congress have no more importance in most people's lives than the garbage collector.
Was he running for Pope? Who cares? His policies are the problem.
Morality in the real world is like lying on a lumpy mattress: push down on one lump and another pops up elsewhere. 60 years ago smoking was considered cool and shacking up was considered scandalous; today, smoking is considered scandalous and shacking up is considered cool.
I think what it says, is that people just don’t care. There is no longer any social stigma, to living together without marriage. And people just don’t hold that against someone.
Decades ago, it would have been a negative issue for a politician, but no longer. Decades ago, divorce was a problem for politicians, but that too is no longer an issue.
Your post shows that the culture is fine with that which leads to death (quite often literally I'm afraid). See 'Homicide Hunter' for evidence.
Making it legal by law means nothing these days so why sweat it?
My guess is that he has a diaper fetish and his "girlfriend" gets off on changing his poopy diapers. I doubt there is anything approaching what normal people would describe as "sexual activity".
