Shortly after inauguration, I wrote about the Trump administration's decision to continue the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty. During the campaign, Trump (correctly) lambasted Obama's unilateral amnesty program as illegal and pledged to stop it on day one. But not only did he not stop it, DHS has continued to process renewals and even new applications, for illegal aliens who did not already have this two-year renewable work permit.

You can’t pardon someone while they’re still doing the crime.

President Trump was off to a quick start. But since the first or second week he has been mired in snares and quicksand. Ivanka and Jared were his Achilles heal. In the dust-up between Jared and Steve Bannon, President Trump's little princess was the deciding factor on which ideology would win. These days, you can hardly sense Steve Bannon's presence at all.

Trump is doing everything he can to stop the tidal wave of illegals, with one hand tied behind his back.

Making excuses. This is a simple action. One of the easiest.
It was an EO that instituted this policy and on day one he stated he would use an EO to overturn the unconstitutional DACA policy. As time went on however his language changed as he softened his position. What you stated in your comment is what my boss would say is an excuse. It would take him all of 5 seconds to sign an EO he orders a WH attorney to write.
Ok if not his daughter then who is influencing him to not issue the EO overturning the illegal invasion policy instituted by Obama via EO?

A work permit is amnesty? They can be removed at any time for cause or for no reason at all other than their illegal presence here. How is that amnesty?
Amnesty (to me) means “all is forgiven”. This is more like “we’re overlooking it for now”.
