So they had to profess to be muslims to escape? I’m not judging, because I don’t know what I would do in that situation, but I pray God would give me strength to confess Him, even if it cost me my life. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Father, in the Name of Jesus, please protect these Filipino people, from ISIS. I pray You forgive them, if they weaken, and give them strength. Help the non-muslims escape, and reveal Yourself to the muslims, that they would turn and be converted. In Jesus Name, Amen.
pray also that good people find the will to do what must be done.
From north to south in the Philippines...they have a tradition of cutting off heads....My wife’s older generation would slaughter those turds....They all kept machetes and stingray whips(large tails with the barb) in there houses. They suffered the Japanese....Her brother in the Philippine army had a bolo knife that was use for ugly things...They are tough people.

God knows how far to test His followers; He did not lead them to THAT test.
They simply shouted Allah Akbar, which we can chose to translate as “God is great”. While some Muslims have weirder interprtations of that, that is close enough in English.
God did NOT test them further.
The ISIS scum didn’t challenge them any further, and let them pass to safety.
I’d say God was leading His followers from the danger, not asking them to die for Him.
I’d like to see this for the miracle that it is.
