US President Donald Trump said that Saudi Arabia’s King Salman is a “wise man” during both his visits to Jerusalem and Brussels, adding that the Saudi King wants to see “things get much better rapidly.”
Trump highlighted the need to fight terrorism in order to stop attacks similar to what took place in Manchester during a news conference at NATO Summit in Brussels on Thursday.
“The recent attack on Manchester and the United Kingdom demonstrates the depths of the evil we face with terrorism,” Trump said.
“Terrorism must be stopped in its tracks or the horror you saw in Manchester and so many other places will continue forever. We must be tough, we must be strong and we must be vigilant.”

That vigilance & toughness should start with turning Saudi Arabia into a parking lot, not praising their backwards, terror-enabling leaders.
It doesn’t hurt to praise the richest Arab ally. Now, they will be happy and not sponsor terror.
I like what Coulter said - what the hell is he doing touring these countries? Whatever happened to “American first”? By calling King Salman "wise" on his tour, he is giving the King "face."
"Face" is extremely valuable in Asian and Muslim cultures.
That said, Trump linked his gift to what he is negotiating for (i.e. getting the muslim world to lead the fight against the jihadis thereby taking a "modernized" position toward jihad itself).
This compliment to the King says to Sunni muslims who are paying attention that "wise" means "anti-jihadi."
They may not like it or agree with it, but the King accepts the praise and the meaning that comes with it OR he makes a public statement that he is NOT wise or for change (i.e. modernization).
It's like the "have you stopped beating your wife question" but inverted. The idea, in this case a compliment linked to modernization, is planted and no response can get rid of the underlying implication.
Thank you for explaining that, but I fear there are some here who will refuse to accept the complexities of the tasks that are before our president.

Exactly, I really do not get what he is doing. My guess is he is trying to get the libs and RINOs on his side which is a slow process? Like I said though - He should do what Reagan did, give speeches from his desk at the Oval office and let the people know exactly what is going on, who is holding things up. I was just listening to Michael Savage on the radio, did you hear about this? They arrested two Muslims in Minneapolis with bomb making materials, grenades, AK-47 and if you can believe it a drone. They were sitting in their car throwing garbage out the window and this black guy confronted them about it and they threatened him so he called the cops who searched their car found all that stuff and arrested them. Now what if that black guy never confronted them? NOW is the time to act not go on this world tour kissing the asses of the Saudis. Seriously, what the hell?
