No, this is much much better than that. Comey has embarrassed himself with inaccurate Congressional testimony this week and the Deputy Attorney General (who was confirmed well after Sessions) had time to assemble an ironclad case of statements and analysis. This was the perfect way to handle it ... except that they should have known when/how to inform Comey.... doing this via news media while he was in LA addressing FBI staff gives us chuckles here, but really does not reflect well on the White House staff. Still, I’m just glad that we are finally “moving on” from Comey, and hope/trust that we will now get a far better FBI Director.
