Notice that he refers to the recommendations of AG Sessions and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.
People may be wondering why now, but I point out for those people that Rod Rosenstein has only just been confirmed by the Senate.
President Trump is even now still in the process of gaining control over the Justice Department and the rest of the executive branch.
The Senate dragged their feet on Sessions and he was all alone in the DOJ until his first appointee Rosenstein was just confirmed.
Why has the Senate been so slow? Because the Justice Department is ground zero of government control.
People like McCain and Graham and the Neocons and the assorted NeverTrumpers were hoping to somehow impeach and remove Trump from office before he and Sessions could take full control over the vast and supremely important federal government investigatory, intelligence and prosecutorial power.
The window for a contrived impeachment and removal of President Donald J. Trump is now over.
Would they have done it if they could have? Of course. The Neocons in particular have no particular attachment to or love for our American institutions, history and traditions.
Spot on. Very good analysis...
“The window for a contrived impeachment and removal of President Donald J. Trump is now over”
That’s not over. Trump has a herculean task ahead to remove all the traitors in the gubbermint. He has to get to it no matter the consequences.
