'The time has come to apply the same law to all citizens' [Israeli law for Judea/Samaria]

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) and Tourism Minister Yariv Levin (Likud) are advancing revolutionary new legislation which seeks to apply sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.

At the moment, due to the fact that Israeli law does not apply in Judea and Samaria, the army Head of Central Command, which is the official sovereign entity in Judea and Samaria, applies some of the laws on Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria by means of orders signed by the General.

According to a report by Yediot Aharonot, Shaked and Levin, who stand at the head of the Knesset Legislation Committee, are advancing legislation whereby any governmental bill will also automatically be applied by general’s order to Judea and Samaria.

The ministers said, “It is not possible to tolerate a situation in which the government applies one set of rules to specific parts of the land, while neglecting residents in other parts, where residents don’t merit the same treatment.” …

What an old fashioned, outdated concept. That the laws should apply to everyone equally...

NO, you have this backwards. This is a leftist step towards the west bank becoming “Israeli”. All the West bank Palestinians will be soon be new israeli voters. It is an occupied territory, and it’s under military rule.
This moron is wanting it to move in under Israeli law.

Horrible idea.

The West bank needs to remain under military law as an occupied territory. We don’t need it becoming part of Israel. We don’t need it to become a separate nation.

Just stay as occupied, basically forever. Anything else either destroys Israel by making Palis into Israelis, or by creating a hostile nation state able to pound all of Israel with small rockets.

Thanks. You raise an interesting perspective. The hope that the arabs in the West Bank could become voters might be an inducement to the libtards but it occurs to me that it is a double edged sword and perhaps Netanyahu, et al. Are dangling this bait toward just this end. Because if these arabs should “become voters” then it is a fait accompli that, by extension, they are Israelis. So if the land they occupy is occupied by Israelis then, of course, it MUST be Israel.

"We don’t need it becoming part of Israel. We don’t need it to become a separate nation."

What's all this "we" stuff? Israel's problem, not the United States'. I assume Israel will handle the situation in the manner most beneficial to their own security.

It’s the anti-Israel people that call it “occupied”. These are territories that are designated all Israeli under the Oslo Accords.

There are several downsides to that. From the Palestinian point of view they remain subjugated under foreign military government. Obviously they will continue to agitate and fight against this. So war, as you put it "basically forever".

From the Jewish side it means that Israel is still seen as this rogue 'apartheid state' to use Jimmy Carter's famous term. Yes, many people won't see it this way. But many others will, and they are organizing things like BDS to continue to apply pressure to Israel.

In the end South Africa was forced to abandon their ethnostate by the force of international sanction and moral shaming. Essentially the ideal of "democracy" was more powerful and important than actual survival of their own group to the people of South Africa. The Israeli's (of this generation, still) seem to care less what outsiders think about their situation, but that, too may change.

I think an alternative plan is to gradually peacefully ethnically cleanse the Occupied Territories until they are majority Jewish, at witch time then can be annexed without messing up the desired permanent Jewish majority in Israel.

At least the Jews are woke to the idea that if Isreal isn't majority Jewish it won't really be Israel anymore (ie: "The Jewish State" "The Jewish Homeland").

American Cuckservatives still believe that America has magic dirt, and that after the founding stock are made into a functional minority that the American Nation will live on as a proposition nation.

That's obviously ridiculous. We will be a hated minority and hounded ceaselessly. Will Affirmative Action be repealed when Whites are a minorty? Will claims of "white privilege" stop? No.

What you will see is the accelerating of destruction of our history, just like is happening in New Orleans with the Confederate monuments being destroyed now that Blacks and their Socialist sponsors have seized power.
