The penalty for late signing for insurance makes perfect sense. It will encourage anyone and everyone to be responsible for their own medical bills, which they could not afford if struck by a catastrophic medical incident.
I do not wish to pay higher premiums and higher taxes to subsidize the irresponsible.
Perfect? No. Better? Hell yes.
