The United Nations warned the Trump administration earlier this year that repealing ObamaCare without providing an adequate replacement would be a violation of multiple international laws, according to a new report.
Though the Trump administration is likely to ignore the U.N. warning, The Washington Post reported the Office of the U.N. High Commission on Human Rights in Geneva sent an "urgent appeal" on Feb 2.
The Post reported that the confidential, five-page memo cautioned that the repeal of the Affordable Care Act would put the U.S. at odds with its international obligations.
The warning was sent to the State Department and reportedly said the U.N. expressed serious concern about the prospective loss of health coverage for 30 million people, that in turn could violate the right to social security of the people in the United States.

I’m dumbfounded. “Obamacare” is not, and never was, about making sure people can get healthcare. It’s just another wealth redistribution scheme, except that it wears the mask of health coverage (not care).
I wonder what “international law” is supposedly violated, and how repealing Obamacare supposedly violates it.
I’m paying over $400 per month on health insurance for my son, which has *never* paid out. Since my son’s medical bills for the year are typically less than a single month of “coverage”, I have to wonder why, exactly, I keep paying through the nose for this. Oh, I get it—I have to pay this much so that someone who never had insurance and suddenly gets cancer can buy insurance and make me pay for his treatment.
“International law” without international police to enforce it is about as effective as a spider with no legs.
lol
Dear United Nazis: KMA and then GTH!
It would be hard to exaggerate how little I care about this, the UN’s latest warning to this medieval backwater of a nation of ours.
How long before they start alluding to some kind of hitler reference
Get out if the UN
This from the same outfit that puts Saudi Arabia on a Women’s Rights Commission??? Does anybody care what they think, say or do anymore. It would be great to see an Anglo-World organization that is UK, Aussies, NZ, Canada & USA. If the rest of the world wants to tax others and pay themselves, let them do it among those of a like mind. These same folks still revere Che.
Eat sh*t, UN!
UNimportant.
UNbelievable.
UNneeded.
CC
And genital mutilations, stonings, "necklacing," suppression of free speech and press, polonium poisonings, burkas, massive corruption...I could go on, but why?
P2 warns the UN that they are OVER. TOAST. FORKED. et. cet.
Get out the UN !
You’ve got to be effin kidding me.
Will Amb Haley tell the UN to stick it? Or is she still as dumb as a box of rocks?
My money is on the latter.
LOL You’re a nut!
Regarding Pres. Trump allegedly violating international law by repealing Obamacare, patriots are reminded the following.
The states have not only never expressly constitutionally delegated to the corrupt feds the specific power to establish national a healthcare program, Congress wrongly establishing Obamacare with stolen state powers and state revenues, but also consider this. Both Thomas Jefferson and the Supreme Court had clarified that the president and Senate cannot use their power to make treaties as a back door to expand the federal governments powers without the consent of the Constitutions Article V state supermajority.
Heres excerpts clarifying limits on the power of president and Senate to make treaties.
In giving to the President and Senate a power to make treaties, the Constitution meant only to authorize them to carry into effect, by way of treaty, any powers they might constitutionally exercise. Thomas Jefferson: The Anas, 1793.
Surely the President and Senate cannot do by treaty what the whole government is interdicted from doing in any way. Thomas Jefferson: Parliamentary Manual, 1812 .
2. Insofar as Art. 2(11) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice provides for the military trial of civilian dependents accompanying the armed forces in foreign countries, it cannot be sustained as legislation which is "necessary and proper" to carry out obligations of the United States under international agreements made with those countries, since no agreement with a foreign nation can confer on Congress or any other branch of the Government power which is free from the restraints of the Constitution [emphasis added] . Reid v. Covert, 1956.
And heres excerpts indicating that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate healthcare purposes.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added]." Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Well it shows Trump should have gutted the US funding to the UN at the very least. So now the punks think they can US health policy to Trump? Worthless morons.
The UN sent an ‘urgent appel’.
I’d send them one back that simply said......
Hahahahahahaha!
