I ordered a music CD by John McDermott mainly for a couple of his songs, “Scotland The Brave” and “Danny Boy”.

There was one I had never heard titled “The Band Played Waltzing Matilda”. It is very long, around 9 minutes and tells the graphic tale of the Anzacs at Gallipoli. Crude in a way but also touching.
