The student government at Western Kentucky University on Tuesday voted in favor of giving free tuition to black students.
The school’s Student Government Association passed a resolution by 19-10 supporting slavery reparations for black students in the form of free tuition and free access to the public Bowling Green campus.
The resolution also recommends that the university create a task force to “assess the feasibility of test-optional admissions and geographically-weighted admissions,” claiming that some standardized testing poses a disadvantage for needy students and perpetuates inequality and “white supremacy,” The Bowling Green Daily News reported.

I don’t think tuition charges are up to the students, although the way universities are going this one might just be stupid enough to obey.
Who is going to pay?

It’s not theirs to give.
This will work until no whites want to go to the school anymore, since each will be asked to pay rates to cover themselves plus a handful of black students.
If they really do this, the university will be gone within 3 years, IMHO.
...and of course Professors will be pressured to give free A’s.

Does this include all blacks? Those from foreign countries? Rich blacks? Blacks whose families also owned slaves? What about a tiny percentage black? Idiots.
Good grief keep these people away from engineering, we don’t need more bridges collapsing.
I think it’s great that these kids are willing to give up their own money to pay for the tuition of other people based solely on those people’s race. I applaud their sense of charity.

Maybe you can get 1/2 off on the tuition, which is about to become so highly inflated that it will be out of reach for anyone who would actually want to go there.

Which leads to three important questions:
1. Would a black student whose family moved to the U.S. after 1865 still be eligible for the free tuition?
2. Would a student who has only one black parent get free tuition, or would he get only a 50% discount?
3. Why would anyone - of any race - send their kid to such a stupid and racist school?

It’s like shoppers at Wal-Mart voting to slash prices by 50%.
Seems largely symbolic, as the students cannot change admission standards or the fees that are required. However this could be considered a recommendation to the school’s governing board.
They (the governing board) need to make a comment and explain to their students how the school’s educators have failed them totally.
Of course the students can set up a fund project to provide tuition grants to anyone they wish. Perhaps they should get down to the business of deciding who should get a grant and why.
in 4 years the school will be virtually 100% black and collect no tuition which means they will either reverse course or close down.
