This marks the difference between my and most other people on these issues: I don’t have TV.
I don’t even want to see those images. I trust the story when they say how many people died, and describe injuries.
But because I never see the images, my reaction to this stuff may be a bit less emotional than most people’s.
I’m not responding to images. I’m responding to actions and results.
Thing is, the image of body of a person who died instantly can be much more gruesome than the image of the body of a person who died after much physical and psychological torture or pain. It’s one reason I prefer to not see the images of the dead bodies.
Your right, the optics only brings emotional response. But I don’t think anyone on TV showed video of the bus bombing because it doesn’t for their narrative, I saw it online.
