Members of the North Carolina General Assembly introduced a bill on Tuesday, citing the 10th Amendment, which affirms that the U.S. Supreme Court exceeded its authority under the Constitution and in relation to the “decree of Almighty God” by legalizing same-sex marriage, and contends that the Obergefell v. Hodges decision “is null and void” in North Carolina and that the Tar Heel state shall only recognize marriages between one man and one woman.

The legislation explains that North Carolina seeks to follow the 2012 law that was established in Section 6 of Article XIV of the North Carolina Constitution, which defines marriage as being between one man and one woman. The new bill would also affirm that same gender marriages performed in other staes are not valid in North Carolina.

The legislation, H.B. 780, the Uphold Historical Marriage Act, was sponsored by N.C. House members Larry Pittman (R-Cabarrus), Michael Speciale (R-Beaufort), and Carl Ford (R-Rown). The bill states it is “an act to affirm that Section 6 of Article XIV of the North Carolina Constitution is the law of the state.” …

States rights.

The people should have the power to govern themselves, not nine unelected progressive jurists.

Now we’re talking. The repudiation of Sodomite whatever posing as marriage, and putting an end to abortion should be a much higher priority than other things. God will not preserve the Republic if we are not right with Him

Will the Democrat governor sign this if passed by the legislature?

Push back on this is important.

It really opened Pandora’s box IMO.

This move to allow marriage between any two entities or more, can’t end well.

Go back to the gold standard and be done with it.

I don’t care about the Sodomite as a religious issue. I’m concerned with my own soul first.

The U.S. Supreme Court Exceeded Authority of 'Almighty God' in Creating Gay Marriage

That's the way of it. The Supreme Court declared war on God; may He have mercy on their souls, and ours for submitting to them.

Homosexual marriage is a sham marriage. It is is a marriage of convenience entered into purely for the purpose of gaining a benefit or other advantage arising from that status. To say it is no different from heterosexual marriage is part of the sham used to elevate their actions. Heterosexuals do not marry for the purpose of gaining a benefit. They marry to fulfill God’s plan which is to provide men and women with a means to demonstrate their love for God. It is a selfless act not designed for benefit but for sacrifice out of love.

In 44 years, no Catholic bishop has told Catholic politicians that it is their DUTY to nullify the USSC’s abortion decisions in precisely this way.

If the NC legislature votes through the legislation the republicans have a veto proof majority. Governor’s action would not matter, if legislation on this matter is voted through

Judges of all sorts have been making laws they have no power to do. They are to interpret our laws only

So you ignore Christ demand that you go out and preach the gospel to every creator?
