Not one FR positive comment on this so far.
If this is true.. if the reporter used the right words to describe what Ivanka actually did (reporters tend to use their words in place of the person’s words... and that can change the whole article and the meaning of what a person did/said)... if this is fair reporting.. which is usually not the case.. then Eric should not be telling any such thing to the public or especially to a reporter. Keep things like this quiet.. for the public does not know what to do with Trump’s daughter, advising him on military strikes due to her ‘feelings’. Eric probably wanted to point out the good his sister could be in advising... but it won’t be looked at that way.. it would end up being a weakness laid on Trump by the left.
Ivanka is better served walking and sitting by her father’s side.. if she is to be there for him.
She’s an accomplished lady but has ZERO experience in foreign affairs or military operations. The Middle East is, and always has been, a mess. She has no idea what a decision like this can lead to or what the ramifications/consequences of this type of military action might be.
Imagine what we would be saying if Malia or Chelsea had influenced a similar decision.
Trump is smart and will never surround himself with yes men bobble head dolls. He seems to appreciate smart people with differing views and arguments which enables him to make the best decision.
Obviously he respects Ivankas opinion.
It is really difficult though to work with the bosss kids.
If we wanted a liberal woman running our foreign policy, we would have elected Hillary Clinton.
She didn’t convice him....she presented a case, along with many others....
Trump made the decision based on all the facts presented....
Always ignore headlines and read the actual quotes carefully noting where the quotation marks are in these stories. There is some very creative quoting and wording and ellipses below. Why not just put one quote of the entire discussion in full context?
“Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m sure she said ‘listen, this is horrible stuff.’ My father will act in times like that,” Eric Trump told The Telegraph in an interview at the Trump Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire, Scotland.
“He also confirmed that President Trump’s decision to bomb a Syrian airbase ... was influenced by the reaction of his sister Ivanka, who said she was ‘heartbroken and outraged’ by the atrocity,” the British paper reported.
Good thing John the Baptist isnt alive here today, if she told her dad she wanted his head, he may just do that for her.
No doubt if Ivanka hadn’t been heartbroken, this attack might never have occurred...
J/I never cease to piss me off. And some thought Reince was the biggest threat to the conservative agenda.
They are the libs most promising tool.
So Trumps daughter, a fashion designer, dictates foreign policy in the Trump administration?
It’s getting to the point where Trump is so bad that all we can say is, ‘at least he’s not Hillary”
Fake news.
Daddy’s girl needs a new job, out of the White House. And Daddy needs to be reminded frequently that we did not elect her.
Oh please!
What a retarded thing to say
Regardless of how Trump decided, this information probably should not have come out. It smacks of “Daddy, Daddy, make the mean man stop, look at these terrible pictures on my Facebook feed!”
The claim that anybody cajoled DJT into anything is laughable. She may have desired that action and told him so. That does not make her the match that lit the fuse.
Be careful of hit jobs on Trump. They want to make him look indecisive by saying Ivanka is making the decisions.
