Or someone even higher up? The quote is from the film National Treasure. It is a terrific film about the theft of the Declaration of Independence from the National Archives. The film is chock full of real American history mixed with actual patriotism, the bête noire of the left. But we Americans find ourselves at a tipping point. It appears that the Obama administration, with the willing submission of our intelligence agencies, surveilled Donald Trump, his campaign and his transition team beginning as early as October 2015 and escalated the activity after he won the election. Why? No one thought in October that he would win the presidency and yet surveillance began three months after he announced his candidacy. What did these spies hope to discover? Something to take him out, to be sure. Of what were they so afraid? That he could actually win? Indeed they were apparently afraid of exactly that and were determined to prevent it.
Because Obama, by executive order and design, made such illegally gathered intelligence available to many more agencies than the past and to so many more people, leaks to the media were assured. That was the plan. Especially after Trump won. It worked: D.C. media leaked like a sieve.

These actors—Rice, Farkas, more names to come—are not immune from CIVIL liability. Mike Flynn can sue Rice for damages.
yeah...we have a Congress full of RINO s who would rather stick their heads in the sand and wait for this to blow over. Especially since, when all is said and done, a bunch of them will be implicated. I'd bet my house that McCain and Graham are in on it. BUT we also have President Trump and there's NO WAY he's going to let this stand.

He would have to prove Rice unmasked his name for nefarious purposes. But only by a preponderance of the evidence.
His BIG suit is against the leaker, and perhaps the NYT for printing it.
The "spying" starts at the point where there's a good chance that Trump will indeed run.....and continuously....likely to the time when Rice FIRST asked for the unmasking and any and all associated paperwork.
It could only have been for political purposes....because that is how it was used...and in particular...Flynn.

Why no scientists, engineers, lawyers, lobbyists...in the mix instead of the list being ALL Trump associates.
This is so patently obvious that it should be self evident to the fearless defenders of the First Amendment, the self annointed Fourth Estate, that you would think they'd be falling all over themselves to 'get the scoop'. But their refusal to even look at the story let alone investigate it and report on it, proves what we've known all along. To quote Sean Hannity; 'journalism is dead'.

The only thing Unmaskgate did was throw cold water on the non existent Trump-Russia “Collusion” meme. Democrats NEVER pay for their crimes, ever.
Congress never sent anyone to jail ever. It’s up to the DOJ to do that job. Hopefully a grand jury will be or is in process sorting this out.
If Rice ordered the unmasking and Obama knew nothing about it then she has to go to jail. If she was only following orders as his advisor then Obama should go to jail.
The key is finding the PDBs that are still filed in drawers in DC that ValJar failed to recover when DJT ‘unexpectedly’ won. That’s why she hunkered down when the zeros left for HI, she had evidence to reel back in.
What Rice really needed was the real names that the raw intelligence masked with codes. Once she had those, the PDBs could be disseminated to the 30 daily recipients and their minions, with everybody knowing how to read them now.
PDBs are the perfect vehicle to hide ongoing sabotage attempts against DJT: nobody dare quote or reference them, as the were intially meant for ~8 people, eyes only, not 200 people every day.
WHERE those copies are found will indicate who gets arrested.
