Isakson (R-GA)
Defcon 1.
so does that mean the left will filibuster or not?
I see my state’s U.S. Senators voting “Nay.” Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. Check! Check! FU Seattle liberals.
Ok, stupid party: go nuclear, or go to Hell.
Schumer will make sure the filibuster will happen. This is grade school retaliation.
No truer words have been said today :)
The Republicans had better confirm this guy, or I’ll lose my enthusiasm for the Republican party.
Time for the Reid option to be fully implemented.
Please, please, please God, give us the NUCLEAR OPTION!!!
Please, please, please God, give us the NUCLEAR OPTION!!!
Anyone know why Isakson (R-GA) is said to be not voting?
SCOTUS has been 100% politicalized. It’s authority needs to be checked which can only come from legislation or constitutional amendment. It’s out of control.
so does that mean the left will filibuster or not?

This only moves the nomination to consideration. It still takes 60 to confirm as
I understand the process.

If they only have 55 to proceed they won’t get 60 votes to shut off debate. Thus they need to change the Senate rules (nuke option) or forgetaboutit.
He was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2015. He may currently be too incapacitated to make it to the vote.
The Nuclear Option Decision has already been made, and not a peep from the media: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/senate-poised-to-limit-filibusters-in-party-line-vote-that-would-alter-centuries-of-precedent/2013/11/21/d065cfe8-52b6-11e3-9fe0-fd2ca728e67c_story.html?utm_term=.3855c2b6cc56
McConnell gave dems two hours and R’s 2 hours of debate today.
