Don’t worry. No one will ever mistake you for a politician.
After this past week, they won’t even mistake you for a top-notch negotiator.
I was born here. The first image in my memory bank is the Capitol, all lit up at night. And my primary observation about Washington is this: Unless you’re careful, you end up turning into what you started out scorning.
And you, Donald, are getting a reputation as a sucker. And worse, a sucker who is a tool of the D.C. establishment.

There is the law...and there are the rules. You can bend the law, but don’t ever mess with the rules.
Someone explain to me how on earth Catherine Zeta-Jones ended up becoming the antidote to pictures of Maureen Dowd on FreeRepublic. How did that happen? There should be a FR Lore section to explain these things (and I have been here a long time).

Donald Trump is still The Donald, a force of nature to whom all others bend, the Swamp in Washington included.
Trump does not mess around with the rules. He rewrites them, and challenges others to try to revert to the old ones.

Michael Douglas dated Mo Dowd during the Clinton impeachment saga in order to influence her writing and make her more sympathetic to Clinton, Inc. After all, she writes for the “failing New York Times.” It was more influential then than now.
After the issue died down, he dumped her and took to dating CJZ. Married her.
Afterwards, Mo became morose, drowned her sorrows in whiskey, and likely lamented what could have been.
So we remind her every time she writes her bullsh!t.
