It'd be even better if they allowed the riders to select from a pool of available drivers. However, I'm certain that some very clear patterns would emerge - and we can't be keeping' the minorities down. Or something.

Absolutely the ability to decline/cancel a ride after looking at a pic fosters serious discrimination on passengers’ part.
Also passengers with animals are frequently rejected. Taxis can’t do that by a law which is, hey what days know, enforced.
We can’t reject people with disabilities either. Enforced. Uber is like whatever.
