I think the Democrats were hoping the information gathered by the wire-tap would be the November Surprise to put the final nail in Trump's campaign. Another reason they were so smug going into the last week. If I recall, there were rumors of another shoe to drop on Trump.

But it never happened because they weer not able to get any evidence that linked Trump to the Russians. They were so confident that they had the goods on Trump that they weren't worried about the fallout, because they thought they would continue to have full control of the media, and the intelligence apparatus.

Once Trump won, they could only keep the lid on this for so long. That's why they have been so desperate to tie Trump to the Russians. To them it justifies why they started the investigation in the first place.

Hard to say exactly what Trump will do, but I hope he goes after the Democrats with everything at his disposal. This is the type of thing third world dictators do.

We know all of them but the “why” now. Something only a complete investigation can answer. It is time to grab one of them and turn the screws till that person cracks. Then the next, and the next, and the next..
