An open letter from a Freeper to George W Bush I concur. It galls me that Bush didn't say crap about Obama. He should have been screaming at the top of his lungs that this F***ing affirmative Action fool was wrecking everything, but he remained silent and I thought that was because he respected the principle of not criticizing a sitting President.
Now that the scumbag has chosen to criticize Trump, I realize there was no principle involved in his failure to criticize O'dumbo.
Which pretty much makes him a worm.

Now that the scumbag has chosen to criticize Trump, I realize there was no principle involved in his failure to criticize O'dumbo. GWB is "establishment", so no, he was never going to launch any criticism (mild or scathing) at a black person - especially the "first black president".
A non-establishment white guy is, of course, fair game.
This stuff is RINO 101.

An open letter from a Freeper to George W Bush This is open to the extent that Free Republic doesn't restrict anyone from reading the post.
There is something President Bush accomplished without actually trying that calls for a huge thank you.
We should thank President Bush and all Republican politicians who abandoned the conservative principles that elected them for causing the creation of the Tea Party.
Electing Donald Trump satisfied the Tea Party agenda. Can the agenda achieve the goals in spite of the frontal assault against all of President Trumps decisions.

I read the comments on a site which had this story. Some of the comments were by people who had seen this and they said he never said the things he is accused of. I do not know because I never saw it.

What were you people thinking in the 2000 primary when you voted for him? My memory fades, but I believe Bush entered the race early and had a lot of support and momentum from the beginning. Most of the competing candidates were stuck in the single digits and bailed out well before the convention. Pretty much the way Jeb hoped it would happen for him in 2016, but times change.
Who are you suggesting would've been a better choice? McCain? Elizabeth Dole?
