White House press secretary Sean Spicer called on McCain to apologize for his comments.
"The life of chief Ryan Owens was done in service to his country and we owe him and his family a great debt for the information we received during that raid. Any suggestion otherwise is a disservice to his courageous life and the actions he took. Full stop," Spicer said.
The senator rejected a call Wednesday from White House press secretary Sean Spicer to apologize for his remarks.
"I don't need to listen to that. My record speaks for itself," he said.

Figuratively slapping the —— out of McCain.
So..., much..., freakin..., WINNING!
LOL!
McCain HAS been winning but at America’s expense.
McCain is out of his league with Trump. He should retire so that he can dedicate his full attention to video poker - which he obviously loves.
Seriously. Last thing Juan “won” was his anti-Constitutional McInsane/FindGold campaign finance abomination.
More money has flowed to political campaigns since.
Nice job, there, Juan.
McCain has been in government waaaay too long. He’s forgotten (if he ever knew) that government is not the answer.

He chooses to not win as it got him rich
I’ll say.
Now I’m thinking this just may be best first term ever. It’s feeling like it.

.....dragging up the rear....again
For once I have to disagree with Trump.
It isn’t that he’s been losing so long he’s forgotten how to win.
It’s that he has been carrying a load in his pants so long, he’s forgotten what it’s like not to be a big pant-load.
Hit him where it hurts. He doesn’t care if we win or not.
Trump must have forgot how McCain got away scot free with being one of the Keating Five.
Before soros he was a buttboy for Charles Keating (see keating Five). He should have been shunned, imprisoned and put out to pasture upon parole. instead he has been haunting the republican party and the country.
Isn’t McCain, the person who for many brings to mind the Manchurian Candidate, receiving money from Soros?
I really like this tweet! It really is so easy for people to understand, to follow, and it is so instructive to McCain. If McCain has an iota of honor, he will immediately recant and offer a sincere apology, AND he would take these wise words to heart and make an effort to be a WINNING voice.
President Trump’s criticisms are always instructive on how to be a winner! He’s giving McCain a way to be humble to bow his head signaling the President has a valid point, that we must, like the President says, adopt a winning attitude.
Will McCain do it?
So that's the standard, Juan? If one soldier is killed in a military operation, it's not a success? I guess that makes WWII a an epic failure. What a fool.
