If you are not a “Republican”, can you still shape the eslection of the party nominees forthcoming? Not being a Republican in many cases is self-disenfranchisement.

How does that work? I’m truly curious, not being hostile.
I registered as Dem for a few years so I could vote for a fellow officer that ran for Magistrate, he stayed in there for three years, finally lost his seat and I re-registered back to Rep. I always voted for the lamest Dem on ticket in the primaries and straight Rep ticket in the general elections. It can be done. This was back in the 90’s.
