BOYCOTT AMAZON - 100%
not one dime
Yea, if Bezos keeps pushing on Trump I figure Trump will start a campaign to have Amazon pay state and local sales taxes at point of delivery.
bezos is toast may be the first billionaire to go join kerry selling cookies out of a kiosk in Boston.
In my state, in March Amazon is going to start collecting sales tax. That will pretty much end Amazon for me.
Since I have prime, I’ll keep ordering $5.00 items for the free shipping until then.
The electorate may have been 50/50, but the TRUMP side of it is in the upper 10% of people that would rather work and earn and BUY things rather than use a parasitic, blood-sucking card. God bless the working man...(and Woman).
I bought craft materials at a local store last week rather than from Amazon and found I saved 70% from Amazon cost (same brand, same quantity, same quality). It was a real eye opener. The cost of convenience is being used against us by a leftist opportunist. I hope the new Walmart free shipping attempt takes off like a rocket ship and has a lasting effect upon the too-big-for-its-britches Amazon.
Amazon has not turned a profit from it’s online shopping since it’s inception. Yet.
If people would just take the time and compare prices, ie SHOP, they would see that Amazon is way more expensive than a lot of brick and mortar stores...................
Maybe Bezos should focus on his day job more and less on his failing rag and trashing Trump.
I also think people will be moving away from Amazon due to his political stances.
I hate to say that you are correct. Time to starve the beast. Which is going to be very hard for me because I basically buy almost everything from Amazon.
[I saved 70% from Amazon cost]
Prices at FARM & FLEET are much lower than AMAZON and WALMART.
Look into walmart . com. I opened an account there and they have similar inventory and free 2 day shipping. It’s a solution for now until there is something better.
Amazon is the poster child for long-term, zero-interest, printed Federal Reserve money, which blows tech bubbles and makes all kinds of projects seem cheap.
Amzn up $80 since beginning of the year, down $30 after hours.
But, after hours trading means nothing. It doesn’t translate to market open tomorrow or long term trends.
It’s hard to say where it will open tomorrow. Many will see it as a buying opportunity.
Amzn stock price is not affected by our conservative wishes. Best not to live in a bubble.
Companies don't pay those taxes, consumers do. On top of that, every state in the union that has a sales tax also has an accompanying use tax. If you purchase something out of state, and have it shipped to you for your use/consumption in your state/locality, and the seller doesn't collect sales tax on it (no brick and mortar presence in your location/state), the law in those states with use taxes says the consumer is responsible for tracking and paying use taxes on those items. If the state wanted to get nasty, it could attempt to get sales records from the big online retailers, and go after the individuals for use taxes due.
I’m almost autistic in my love of reading, but just cancelled Kindle Unlimited.
Boycott. Legal, legitimate, non-violent protest.
Happened in Colorado. Stopped my easy addiction with Amazon. And now I just scroll further down the search results and 90% of the time find exact (real) product cheaper. Not one dime spent on Amazon over the holiday season or since I let my prime membership lapse in November.
