Shooting at Quebec City mosque, reports of multiple wounded (Several dead)

Quebec City Police are outside of a mosque where multiple gunshots were fired.

Multiple people are feared wounded, according to CBC's French-language service Radio-Canada. Their condition is not known at this time.

A number of ambulances are parked outside of the Islamic cultural centre of Quebec in the Sainte-Foy neighbourhood.

Police have set up a perimeter around the mosque.

Tweets are saying between 3 and 12 dead, I won't speculate a number. Perhaps this was an internal battle between them and a terrorist attack? Who knows. Prayers for that community at large...most of them are good people outside that mosque. There isn't a large Islamic population in that area.

As for related to refugees or some internal battle (i.e. Sunni vs. Shii), I think that is certainly possible but don’t want to confirm it.

I know the left is screaming for gun control, but guns arep practically banned in Quebec as it is - and terrorists won’t care.

I read elsewhere there were 3 shooters. Early reports can be wrong, but if 3 shooters, it ALMOST CERTAINLY was another Muslim group in the attack. You’d be lucky to find one lone non-Muslim shooter willing to shoot up a mosque in Canada, or here (and thankfully so).

Trudeau’s party got barely 20% of the vote in the Quebec City region, and finished 3rd or 4th in most districts (they won the urban Quebec seat thanks to a 4-way vote split but that seat is likely gone in 2019).
