Yawn... Key West has been trying this for decades..
So if California goes away what happens to all the money that their citizens put into Social Security? There is no way the rest of the country should have to assume the unfunded liabilities that were created by inflated salaries and such that California has been paying it’s state workers for years.
Hopefully all that money would stay with the rest of the United States and California would have to tax their citizens to death to cover the shortfall.
Eleven state have tried this before. It did not go well for them.
I continue to believe this would be good for all concerned. California was once part of Mexico. Perhaps they would like to renew that relationship.
Where can I sign the petition? They want to leave, everyone else wants them to go.
This will never happen. I wonder who is making the money on this one?
I wonder if California could take up a petition to throw LA and San Francisco out of the state?
That was settled in 1865. Idiots.
And when 75% of red CA decides it either wants to secede from the new CA or go back to the union...
They will let them without hinderence
Legally registered US citizen voters or just any old voters?
Can’t secede from the union. Not that I wouldn’t want them to, mind you. Let them try. Then we can go in, kick their butts, take all their stuff, and reconstruct them. Damn Yankees did it to us. Guess CA didn’t read the history books.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. The only issue is Naval Base San Diego, home of the Pacific Fleet. Is the land owned by the Federal Government or just the improvements?
I’m in Virginia. Where do I vote?
In this case, the rest of America will be happy to see California leave.
Especially after the American parts of California split off petition for statehood.
Should I sign it?
Whaaaaah!
If they go, Trump wins the popular vote.
so there go the lefts usual 55 tainted electoral votes....
