The Chinese put China first. The Russians put Russia first. Israelis believe in Israel first.
So, what’s wrong with Americans seeking to put our country before a faceless, vacuous globalism that has eaten away at our manufacturing base, taken the lives of our best and brightest overseas, and threatened our standard of living for decades?
According to neoconservatives like Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol, apparently a lot.
Kristol let out a tweetstorm before and during Donald Trump’s “America First” themed inauguration speech Friday, highlighted by this gem:
"I'll be unembarrassedly old-fashioned here: It is profoundly depressing and vulgar to hear an American president proclaim "America First.""
“Depressing and vulgar…” Wow! In a prime example a true globalist’s gloves coming off, Kristol and his neoconservative ilk can’t help but expose themselves for the anti-American hucksters they are.
In a classic example of the strawman fallacy, they like to link the movement to put our people first, just as every other nation does, to the often pro-Nazi “America First” movement that existed prior to World War II. But Trump is having none of it.

1. Globalists (including almost everyone in the two major parties, at least on a national level)
2. Nationalists (Trump and his supporters)
3. Marxists (Bernie Sanders and his movement)
I hope we can take advantage of the one and only Nationalist gain we've had in Washington -- the election of Donald Trump.

“America First” is simple a statement correcting the mindset and core values that have been destroying our nation since Reagan and exemplified by 8 years of Obama - “America Last”
A great error by many is to apply individual virtues to a nation.
For example:
It is a virtue for one to put others before self. But for a nation to do so results in its decline and results in harm to its citizens.
Turning the cheek is an individual virtue - but destruction to a nation.
Conservatives apply virtues to themselves, but not to their nation.
Progressives apply all virtues to the nation, but not to themselves.
It’s black and white, isn’t it?
GW, John Adams, TJ, AJ, Abraham Lincoln, Grant, TR, RR [the Great!]- no none of them were so tasteless as to put America first.
I think 1 and 3 can be lumped together, they are the same for the most part.

Heard this mimic’d on radio yesterday- some lib trying to tie the use of “America First” to the pre-WWII Lindbergh led American Bund (which was pro-Nazi).... so “of course” Trump means this in the same way. How very manipulative and clever of the facile bill kristol’s of the false conservatives who are in no way conservative— and who would have long ago been outed by Joe McCarthy. Kristol is an utter fraud.
We must be vigilant to every uni-party meme-— like this one. That somehow, looking out for American sovereign interests (as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson insisted was a priority), and looking out for American companies and American private sector jobs and productivity that fueled the US as the Beacon of Freedom for the rest of the scruffling world)... can be equated with the Holocaust. Oh, and don’t forget the current melding of Fascism with Naziism— a technique of.... Communists, well covered by Hedrick Smith and Victor Davis Hanson.
