A badly burned body found on the floor of a River North parking garage early Tuesday has been identified as a 60-year-old real estate attorney, officials said.
Louis S. Cohen, 60, was of the 200 block of Ivy Lane in Highland Park, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Wednesday was pending and did not determine a cause and manner for Cohen’s death, the office said.
Just before 6 a.m. Tuesday, police and fire crews responded to a fire in the 11th floor of a parking garage in the 300 block of North LaSalle Drive and found the body on the floor.
The cause of the fire was unknown. Police were conducting a death investigation. Arson detectives were called to the scene. . .

Cabrini Green was demolished years ago. Although I am rarely in Chicago I happened to be near 300 N. LaSalle today. Despite all the press reports of rampant thug life in Chicago this neighborhood was all business in the middle of the day.

Guy was a donor to Democrat Dan Seals [$1500 and $900 in 2010], who was endorsed by Dick Durbin.
Don’t know what cases he’s been involved in but burning of a dead guy in his car to obscure evidence was a common practice in Illinois; I would not be surprised if it was a hit.

Cabrini Green got torn down DECADES ago and rebuilt with lovely town homes, and expensive other types of buildings. It is no longer a damned ghetto for the thugs.
He was also a Clinton donor in 2007 [$2300 & $700] when she ran against Zero.
Once in a while weird things can happen up there too...maybe 15 years ago another prominent real estate figure, Lee (?) Miglin, was murdered in his Near North garage by a gay drifter that later went on to murder clothing designer Versace in Florida. They still don’t know just what led up to Miglin’s death.
When he donated to Hillary he was employed by DLA Piper as an attny....
