Seems the CIA seeks to influence lots of media all over the world. The journalist expected to be on a hit list, but because he had no children, he thought he could afford to do this more than others. The cause of death is alleged to be a heart attack.

Another conspiracy theory...hmmm...a lot of stuff sure doesn’t add up, though. For example, if we stop huffing and puffing for a few minutes and ask ourselves what Russia has really done to attack and threaten us, the best that I can come up with is 4 things:
1) Took back Crimea (which was Russian land for 95% of history, and is 90%+ Russian people).
2) Assisted in a war for separation in a heavily Russian area in Eastern Ukraine.
3) Assisted a friendly government, Syria, that was under attack and invited them in.
4) Passed a law that made it illegal for gays to recruit children (in effect saying that what you do in your bedroom is your business, but keep it there).
5) Moving some hardware around on Russian soil.

Other than that, the REAL THREAT posed by Russia is TOTALLY IGNORED - which is the modernization of their military. They used the 20 years that they had free access to Western technology to develop some amazing weapons - something that we didn’t bother doing because we figured we could sit on our Cold War military for the next 1000 years. All of the nukes are modernized and most can evade our defenses - new missiles have been developed in violation of existing treaties, but yawn, who cares?

Obviously we are being played by the media to try to get into a shooting war that we would lose, or at best blow up the world, so everyone loses.

And now ask yourselves this - how is it that the media can keep losing money, shrinking, losing money, shrinking...without SOME SOURCE OF OUTSIDE FUNDING. Someone is paying the bills and it’s not the Internet, which has been a total disaster as far as revenue streams are concerned. Yet there’s STILL no retrenchment from the NYT or Washington Post - they still have all the reporters they need to keep blasting away at Republicans. How does that work, when their revenue streams are now a relative trickle, compared to the past?
